Go: An all-inclusive jungle lodge in the Belize rainforest, Copal Tree Lodge has grown from pioneering the ideas of sustainable food production to become an award-winning, world-class destination. The perfect Muy’Ono Resorts choice for food lovers and adventure seekers, this luxury ecolodge and 3,000-acre sustainable farm offer 16 private suites and one three-bedroom villa.

Surrounded by 22,000 acres of rainforest preserve, Copal Tree Lodge guests can participate in hands-on learning on the production of coffee, chocolate and indigenous produce grown in Belize. Immerse yourself in the culinary traditions of the region at Garden Table Restaurant, which has 70% of its food supplied from The Lodge.

Designed with nature and luxury in mind, the suites at Copal Tree Lodge allow you to take in the scenic beauty of the jungle while you relax in comfort. Each suite is elegantly designed to make your stay at the Lodge an unforgettable experience.

At the Garden Table Restaurant, the chef makes wonderful use of the ingredients grown by our farm team and sourced locally from nearby farmers. Copal Tree Lodge forages the rainforest for wild foods such as the heart of cohune palm, wild herbs, and flavorful leaves and fruits. The Lodge invites guests to complete their meals with house-roasted coffee, farm raised “bean to bar” chocolate, and a sampling of local rums.

Enjoy the afternoon mountain biking, hiking, kayaking on the Rio Grande or relaxing at the spa. Adventurers, foodies and family travelers alike will find something to enjoy at Copal Tree Lodge. Families traveling with small children can enjoy age-appropriate activities like Tortilla Making Class and a Jungle Farm Tour.

And Do Good: Copal Tree Lodge donates $5 BZD for every occupied room night to a worthy community program, school, or non-profit organization in need of financial assistance. Each month we select a different beneficiary organization, with past organizations being San Antonio Water Falls Committee, Punta Gorda Methodist School and Muy’Ono Cares.

Muy’Ono Resorts believe every traveler should have the opportunity to travel better. This doesn’t just mean better experiences for the traveler, but also making the places traveled to better. That’s why Muy’Ono Resorts focus on preserving the beauty of Belize through philanthropy, sustainability, celebrating culture, and creating “WOW!”

By choosing a Muy’Ono Resort, you’re truly choosing to travel better. Your choice to stay with Muy’Ono Resorts directly makes an impact because Muy’Ono Resorts donate a portion of every night booked to worthy local charities. Muy’Ono Resorts also pledge not to use any single-use plastic and have invested in sustainable power sources, among various other initiatives.

With Copal Tree Lodge‘s main focus on sustainability, they have achieved the following goals:

  • Roughly 70% of the food we serve in our restaurant is organically produced on our farm.
  • We use sustainable, line-caught fish and seasonal seafood purchased directly from local day boat fishermen.
  • We are helping to save Belize’s indigenous cuisine and the heirloom crops that define it by growing native crops on our 3,000-acre organic farm.
  • We are building a global marketplace for Belizean made products through our chocolate, coffee and rum productions right here at Copal Tree Lodge
  • We make furniture and building materials on site from our own wild fall or sustainably harvested wood.
  • We plant thousands of trees each year as part of an extensive agroforestry program that also supports local wildlife.
