And Do Good: In partnership with Autism Speaks, Great Wolf Lodge has pledged to “go blue” in support of a more inclusive world for people with autism and their families through a month-long Blue Wolf Ears fundraising campaign. Throughout the month of April 2019, Great Wolf Lodge offered a blue version of the brand’s signature wolf ears, available to guests for a minimum $5 donation to Autism Speaks with a goal of raising $50,000 for their organization.
In addition, Great Wolf Lodge has also fundraised for Make-A-Wish® by selling waterpark day passes to guests and donating $5 per purchase back to the worthy organization. The lodge has been a long-time partner with Make-A-Wish®, a non-profit that helps fulfills wishes of children between the ages of 2.5-8 years old suffering from chronic illnesses, by hosting children at their 17 locations. In 2020 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and in honor of Nurses Month and as part of its ongoing commitment to the community, Great Wolf Lodge encouraged fans of its indoor waterpark resort to join in showing support and gratitude to the selfless nurses confronting the outbreak. Through its “Nights for Nurses” campaign, every room booked from May 4-12, 2020 with the code THANKYOU, Great Wolf Lodge donated a free overnight stay to a registered nurse so they can enjoy some much deserved quality time with their families. With support from the American Nurses Association (ANA), Great Wolf Lodge distributed close to 10,000 overnight stays as part of this effort.
With the environment in mind, the One Tree Planted campaign has sprouted and Great Wolf Lodge has committed to plant 100,000 trees to aid reforestation projects in the U.S. with a $100,000 donation to One Tree Planted. Guests learn about the importance of trees to a healthy eco-system in a fun way as they collect a digital activity guide and complete the identified tasks across the resort. Each task takes guests to a different area of the resort with an amusing challenge, while also providing interesting facts about trees. Complete the challenge and guests are rewarded with a digital certificate that recognizes them for helping Great Wolf Lodgefulfill its commitment of 100,000 donated trees.
