While visiting, consider a haunting tour of Room 311, a room in The Read House supposedly haunted by a ghost.

And Do Good: In 2017 during its renovation, The Read House provided all of its existing furniture to Chattanooga Furniture Bank. The Chattanooga Furniture Bank provides furniture to families and individuals who are transitioning from homelessness to self-stability. The Read House was also able to donate 1,875 pounds of food to Chattanooga Area Food Bank, which is equivalent to 1,562 meals. 

In addition, The Read House hosted a local high school fundraiser, benefitting the hospitality program. They provided free ballroom rental, staff and ballroom setup and breakdown for no charge.
