Hosted by Princesa Parc Hotel; opinions are my own
This weekend my family and I headed to my 28th country, Andorra. What a beautiful weekend full of nature, mountain air and a small but mighty country. Here was our itinerary, for you to copy if you, too, make it to Andorra.
How to get there
Andorra is located between Spain and France and we found it easiest to travel from Madrid to Lleida and then Lleida to Andorra. From Madrid to Lleida, we took the Renfe Ave train (2h20m) and then from Lleida to Andorra, we rented a car and drove (also 2h20m). It was a long commute to go somewhere for 48 hours, but totally worth the experience.
What area to stay in
Initially we had chosen to stay in the La Vella area, the centro area of downtown Andorra. But I discovered this hotel, Princesa Parc, from another American family traveling there the week prior. I immediately knew that it would be a great family-friendly option that our kids would love, so I decided to change our accommodations. It was a great choice, because the Arinsal area of Andorra was truly spectacular.
Where to eat
We chose to eat at many of the local restaurants in Arinsal like El Cabin Bar, Oolong for breakfasts and California Grill for Mexican. All of these were locally-owned and just great places for a family to dine. We also enjoyed a dessert buffet at Princesa Parc hotel as well as a special meal in a different area of Andorra in Valle d’Incles at a restaurant called Lamont.
What to do at Princesa Parc Hotel
There was so many great options for families at Princesa Parc! From a full-blown arcade and sports bar, to a bowling alley and quadruple rooms that fit the whole family, we found the hotel to be a joy for kids. It was in a great location in Arinsal, located amongst beautiful mountains. We also loved their family spa day, where the only family could enjoy the spa together. From cold plunges to a hot tub and a sauna, the kids loved every second of the spa day. They also had an onsite gym which was perfect for my husband and oldest son.
We ran out of time, but you can also enjoy mountain biking, riding the gondola and playing mini golf with your family around Andorra. In addition to enjoying the hotel, we also really liked walking around downtown Andorra La Valle area.
