The Best Flamenco in Madrid, Spain

#hosted by Flamenco de Leones; views are my own

It’s my 40th birthday! What a wild thing to be living in Spain, with no end in sight, as I enter my 40s. I knew I wanted to do something special with my person, my husband Logan and friends who have become family here in Madrid. So we spent the night at my most-recommended experience in Madrid, Spain for couples and families: Flamenco de Leones.

We had visited this flamenco show with our kids when we first moved to Madrid and it was such a great experience – they were captivated! So when considering my favorite things to do in Madrid, I immediately considered showing my friends the magic of the flamenco show at Flamenco de Leones. We were seated at a table for eight and the show began immediately with the most impressive dancing, signing and cultural immersion possible. I watched my friends wide-eyed and amazed by the talent in the show and all of us were disappointed when the experience was over.

We have visited other flamenco shows in Spain, but to us none compare with the skill level at Flamenco de Leones. If you have a limited schedule when visiting Madrid, I recommend booking a show, even tapas and a show! They also have an incredibly impressive dinner experience option with three different levels of dinner, some including a private flamenco show with the experience.

If you don’t want to have dinner at Flamenco de Leones, I recommend Lady Bongo, a Japanese restaurant owned by the Ramses District, owners of Flamenco de Leones. They hosted my 40th birthday dinner and it was such a cool, unique concept for Madrid. Everyone loved the food but the evening was even more spectacular being surrounded by friends.

Heading into my 40s with a bang, but encouraging you to try a new experience, like seeing a flamenco show, while in Madrid, Spain.
