Let’s Go to Córdoba

As we wrap up our time living in Andalusia, Spain (more on that life update, soon!) we decided to head to Córdoba, one of the last big cities that we haven’t yet visited in the Andalusian region. This city wow’ed us with its streets, restaurants and vibe: it was a super sweet last city visit!

Our time there was met with a bit of sadness, as we were there during the severe train accident that occurred. Thankfully, we had driven to Córdoba and not taken the Renfe, although we did feel shaken up from being that close to the incident. Also, Landon, our 13-year old, had just taken that train three days prior to Madrid on a school trip, keeping him delayed in Madrid and away from us.

It was a tough emotional weekend for me as a mom, but we still tried to make the best of our time there. We walked around the Mezquita and the Roman bridge, enjoying the unique architecture. We had the most delicious meal at Michelin restaurant El No. 10 Taberna. We also enjoyed our stay at the Libere Tendillas, located right in the middle of the action. Parking is tough in centro Córdoba, so be sure to book parking in advance before going.

We loved our visit and recommend making it this way. If you are driving to Córdoba, we also recommend the Ivanros Ceramics factory: a gorgeous family-owned handmade pottery company that has a factory in La Rambla, Spain about a 30 minute drive outside of the city. We cannot wait to remember Córdoba when using our new dishes from there in Madrid 🙂
